How do you find glory in challenges?

My Last Two Weeks….

The garage door wouldn’t close.

My wife was in Puerto Rico.

I was in Minnesota.

The air temperature was -20.

My kids didn’t follow directions.

I had to walk the dog…three times a day.

A student of mine got sick in my classroom. (I won’t go into detail.)

I forgot to buy more bottled water.

We ran out of laundry detergent.

I lost the work key to my building.

My wife’s car wouldn’t start.

I didn’t know where I put the jumper cables.

Someone in my household ate my leftover pizza without asking.

Our new energy bill was nearly twice as much as last month.

The exterior of my car was filthy, but it was too cold out to wash it.

So, how would I summarize my two weeks?   ……..  Glorious.

If this list outlines my biggest problems over the past 14 days, I have nothing to complain about, but much to be thankful for. Glory to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
